What to Wear for a Photo Session
Most clients who schedule a portrait session, whether a business or casual family portrait, want to know… What do we wear to optimize our look?? It’s really quite simple, according to television news anchor and medical journalist, Heidi Godman:
“I’ve had to pose for publicity photos for the last 25 years. I generally
choose something that’s dark and authoritative with a pop of color, and I
always make sure that I like the outfit and feel comfortable and confident
in it, because it definitely helps your personality shine through.”
For women, the pop can come from a scarf, jewelry, blouse, jacket or other accessory. The clothing doesn’t have to be dark – just as long as you feel your best in your wardrobe selection! For men, the shirt or tie combined with a great jacket/suit. Groups: complementary colors are a draw.
A recent business shoot went perfectly, after the female client took Heidi’s advice!! She arrived with three great outfits, accessories. The hour-long shoot resulted in well over 100 wonderful images and a happy client!
