One of my favorite shoots… EVER! The April issue of Style Magazine, a publication of the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, features a shoot we did at Tim Watnum’s property, where he is meticulously restoring two vintage trailers – fantastic backdrop for this themed shoot. We had wonderful items from Everything But the Girl/The Closet, Designing Women Boutique, Sarasota Architectural Salvage, Posh on Palm. Coral Pleas and her team from Cutting Loose were the masters of the hair and make-up artistry. The images speak for themselves and need little explanation…FABULOUS!

The woman who changed the worlds of homemaking, crafting, gardening and beyond made a stop at Ringling College of Art and Design recently to view the campus and give a talk on her media/business philosophy. Martha Stewart’s visit was a whirlwind AND I had the opportunity to photograph her for the April Style cover. She needs no introduction, no direction… Thank you RCAD, Gayle/Style, MS for the opportunity!

This will post as Leah and Christian say their vows… The dress, the hair, the veil and jacket – and of course, Leah – SO beautiful, regal, poised. This outtake is just fun because I grabbed the image with Lauren, Leah’s sister, who was assisting with the shoot. Love the contrast – formality/informality, almost monochromatic/burst of color in gym shorts. Leah will be radiant today, as she was this day. But her radiance will be heightened by her love for Christian, her joy of sharing this with her family and friends. We will happily blog again following the wedding and share some of the images from this beautiful event, anticipated by many and so lovingly planned by Karen, Leah’s mother. This day will remain in my memory because I love the family, know and love their friends, have watched Leah and Lauren mature and fall in love… so happy to be able to share and make images that will remain for all to remember and enjoy.

Emily and Todd shared an ideal Florida winter evening with family and friends. The John and Mable Ringling Museum was a perfect backdrop for an evening of romance and love, play, dancing, dining, extended family, anniversaries and more. The bride’s grandparents were celebrating their 59th wedding anniversary and Emily and Todd selected this date to honor Charlie and Dee as well as Charlie’s parents’ 86th anniversary! Thank you to these wonderful families for the chance to share the joy and click away for images that will be remembered in a rich family history.

Lauren and Steve will be married this summer. We walked their neighborhood in NYC recently for some fun, casual, observational portraits. I had a great time, so happy from the wonderful energy shared, and we all love the resulting images.
