Faces I See: iPhone Portraits
The photographer’s eye, roving, seeking the light, observing surfaces, texture, shadow, shape – all reflected in the people I pass on the street, or for a few moments in a planned shoot. Most of the faces here were taken at random (with permission) with the iPhone; a few with the 35 mm. A face: the eyes, skin, shape, framing with brows and/or hair, all say so very much and especially remind me of our common “being-ness.” Eyes… some have spoken their stories with the photographer; others have few words (maybe a nod, perhaps another language, and certainly all have allowed me into their very personal space). Depth, life, feeling, being. This human connection (we have same with other beings/animals) is intense and loving and beautiful. I see you…
