The plunge into widowhood at 85 posed many new roadblocks for Barbara (above). She didn’t know how to write a check or pay bills. Self-esteem lagging, a WRCSC Peer Resource Advisor referred her to Challenge, which recharged and empowered her with new hope and a fresh attitude. Barbara is grateful to have had so many amazing women help her move forward and away from people who are not willing to make changes as they age. Our time together, one of nine portrait sessions for the Women’s Resource Center annual celebration – Redefining Balance/Renaissance 2013, was one of laughter, hope, joy, sharing, optimism. Our session gave this photographer glimpse into the joyful new life of a women with hope and happiness as an octogenarian and beyond!! Thank you, Barbara and WRCSC!
